What is PON?
The Programma Operativo Nazionale (PON) is an EU-funded investment program aimed at strengthening the Italian education system and promoting equitable access to high-quality education across the country.
Innovation represents a key-importance issue regarding the development of education, hence, within the frames of the PON Digital Board project, a significant amount of the funding (455 million euro) was allocated to exclusively support the digitalization of classrooms and secretariats.
The program’s main objectives include the provision of digital equipment for schools (e.g. interactive displays, computers and other digital devices). By this, contributing to the digital transformation of the educational institutions and teaching. Furthermore, PON intends to bolster the process of dematerialization and the digitization of administration of schools as well as to ensure the appropriate and effective adaptation of the tools provided.
The application for the Digital Board tender was open from 8 September 2021 to 1 October 2021. After all, the expenditure commitment deadline came to an end on 31 March 2022. Subsequently, by 31 December 2022, all interventions must be completed, tested, and concluded.
In terms of the cooperation with our Italian distributor partners, with each board purchased through the PON tender, they provide mozaBook Classroom licence and Mozaik Teacher licence to the end-users.
What is mozaBook Classroom /Teacher?
The mozaBook Classroom is a device-based licence that is suitable for interactive boards and in-class applications, therefore it is particularly recommended for schools. This licence type can be used by multiple teachers and students on the same board independently. Moreover, it enables access to all interactive content (3Ds, educational videos, digital lessons).
Mozaik Teacher on the other hand is a user-based licence type. This means that it is linked to one teacher, who can use mozaBook and mozaWeb (our web-based educational platform) on their own device. Similarly, to the mozaBook Classroom, users have unlimited access to all digital content with the Mozaik Teacher licence as well.

What is Mozaik Education?

Supporting educators, educational institutions as well as commercial and national organizations in facilitating digital transformation and raising the quality of education has been an integral part of Mozaik Education’s mission, regardless of geographical location. The National Competition for Young Entrepreneurship is the largest regional competition in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation dedicated to young people, held annually by Entro Gate since 2019 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and a number of successful partners in the Arab world. The main aim is to provide students with entrepreneurship and innovation skills and to enhance their sense of social responsibility at the same time. Enabling them to come up with pioneering ideas and teaching them how to plan and turn these ideas into projects that benefit their communities, then incubate, direct and support the winning projects to completion and implementation.
In order to support this fantastic initiative and to incentivise those educators that guide the young talents on their journey from the background, Mozaik Education and Eduminds Consulting offered Mozaik Teacher licenses for all educators of the qualified teams and finalists in the competition. Together with Eduminds we believe that - beyond the incentive - these admirable teachers will make a very good use of their mozaBook and mozaWeb access to create digital exercise books and lesson plans, make their lectures even more engaging for students with interactive worksheets as well as with the use of the extensive Mozaik Media library’s various 3D scenes, animations and interactive teaching and assessment tools.
We can’t wait to see the award-winning projects materialize and hope to see this inspiring initiative continue to let talented youngsters and their impassioned teachers make their dream projects come true.
Winning an award is always amazing, but winning in one and being recognized as a finalist in another category in the same competition feels even better. We are truly honoured to receive some serious recognition from one of the largest and most competitive programs in all of the education technology sector. This year’s EDTECH COOL TOOL AWARDS was organized by the American EdTech Digest online magazine.
This year mozaBook won in the best "presentation solution" and mozaWeb was a finalist in the "blended/remote learning" category!
All of our colleagues and team members who put effort into creating mozaBook and mozaWeb are extremely happy to see that both teachers and our peers love our software solutions, and awards like this give us an incredible amount of motivation to continue the work we started many years ago.

At Mozaik the new year always comes with a busy schedule for our team as the largest ed-tech fair in the world, the BETT Show traditionally takes place in the last week of January. In 2022, because of the pandemic, the organisers decided that they postpone the exhibition to March. On one hand, we were a bit sad because we always look forward to meeting new people, but on the other hand, we were happy that we could possibly see sunny London in March. But our main reason for travelling to London was to present mozaBook, mozaWeb and our new products Mozaik Teacher and Mozaik Student at our booth and sure we did! BETT 2022 was really a show to remember!
22,600 visitors came together over the 3 days at ExCel London to find out what the future and the present hold for teachers and students around the world and see what are the latest trends in education first-hand. Exhibiting at BETT for the 9th time, it was great to see many familiar faces stopping by our stand and sharing some nice experiences of using mozaBook and mozaWeb. Of course, hosting new visitors and presenting them our digital solutions feels amazing, too, as the pure excitement on the faces is always worth the hard work on and off the exhibition!
Fortunately, our meeting schedule was completely full and we were really busy during the 3 days. Among many other companies, it was a great honour to host groups of ministry delegations at our stand as well.
For the first time, we presented our CadaVR Anatomy atlas as part of our software portfolio and we were super excited about it! We got the chance to meet amazing professors from the UK’s most prominent medical colleges such as the University of Cambridge. The BETT Show in London was just the first step as we are advancing into the new year, but it already set the tone for the rest of the exhibition season.

The Frankfurt Book Fair, which has traditions spanning more than 500, is the biggest book fair in the world and is held every year. However, due to the pandemic, it was canceled last year. This was a symbol of a huge blow not only for business but more importantly for social relationships as well. All of us were very glad that this year’s book fair was held because we finally could get to meet one another again and to get to know in person those that we have been in contact with during the pandemic.
The pandemic is still with us unfortunately, but social responsibility and regulations have proven effective and this is a small price to pay for all the advantages the book fair had to offer. For the first 3 days we had met other companies from all around the world, and as always it was great to finally have meetings and discussions in person. From time to time we could even grab a cup of coffee together. We happily recognized that despite the situation a lot of people attended the fair.
Especially during the last two days where all the people were allowed in to browse through the booths. We received huge help from the Mittelpunktgrundschule in the form of a couple of teachers. It was mesmerizing both for us and the audience to witness actual teachers use our solutions. We are really grateful to them for these spectacular presentations that we highly recommend a previous blog post if you are interested in the school’s experience with our digital solutions.
All in all, Frankfurt has shown us that being present and socializing with other people is an unexpectedly important aspect of our life, even if we have access to all the modern communication solutions. And once more a shout-out to the Mitterpunktgrundschule from Haiger for participating together with us.
